Join the Radnor League for a Toast to Tenacity on the Willows Patio on Womens' Equality Day!

Our next book selection is 100 Saturdays written by Michael Frank and presenting the life experiences of Stella Levi, survivor of Auschwitz and carrier of the heritage of her Aegean community . Characterized as revealing ‘what it was like to grow up in an extraordinary place in an extraordinary time—and to construct a life after that place has vanished,’ this book promises to be something special.

Please plan to attend this year's Toast to Tenacity.  It’s always a social and festive gathering. 

What the Toast celebrates:

On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was signed in Washington D.C., giving American women the right to vote. A few days before, the legislature of Tennessee voted in favor of the amendment, securing the required 36th state for ratification. Large numbers of suffragists (known as Suffs) and opposing Antis had converged on the state Capitol to lobby the legislators. In the end, the amendment passed in the Tennessee House of Representatives by one vote. 

We encourage members and friends to join us for coffee and conversation on February 10^th, as we approach the League's 104th birthday. This is a good opportunity to introduce potential new members to our local League and to catch up with your colleagues as well.
